“Spa” Day

Where: Beverly Nails Spa, 3201 Edwards Mill Rd suite 131, Raleigh, NC 27612

Come get a mani-pedi with the Bride, etc. at our favorite nail salon! Please let us know ahead of time if you’ll be joining us so we can make you a reservation.

Cost: $25-$200

The Bark Bar & Cary Night Market

When: Friday, April 25th, 2025 | 5:00pm

Where: Downtown Cary Park (right next to The Mayton)

One of the main reasons we chose The Mayton for our hotel block and Welcome party was because of what’s right next door. The Downtown Cary Park is an INCREDIBLE space right in the heart of Downtown Cary, with awesome amenities. We recommend checking out “The Bark Bar”, an outdoor bar right next to the enclosed dog park.

The Cary Night Market is also the night of the 25th, and is a really cool event. According to the website, it’s a “vibrant showcase of locally-crafted treasures while immersing yourself in an evening of music and entertainment”. We highly recommend checking it out before the night’s events!

Rehearsal Dinner

The Rehearsal Dinner is an intimate, invitation-only event hosted by the groom’s parents at a gorgeous spot right in the heart of downtown Cary.

It’s a special opportunity to gather with loved ones, raise a glass, and reminisce before the big day. Dress to impress in cocktail attire, and get ready for an evening filled with great food, good vibes, and all the love!

The Welcome Party

All are welcome! (Including kids!)

When: Friday, April 25th, 2025 | 8:00pm – 10:00pm

Where: The Terrace at Peck & Plume | The Mayton Hotel, 301 S Academy St, Cary, NC 27511

Attire: Cocktail Attire (dressy but comfortable – think dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or blazers – no ties required)

We’re so excited to have everyone together and want a chance to actually catch up, chat, and hang out before the big day kicks into full gear! Join us for a fun, laid-back evening where we can relax, share some laughs, and make memories without a schedule pulling us in every direction. There will be a cash bar, so grab a drink, settle in, and let’s kick things off right!

Things to Do Before the Wedding

Cary Farmers Market (Downtown Cary Park, 8:00am – 12:00pm)
Check out the Cary Farmers Market for local goodies, fresh flowers, and a fun morning stroll! It’s literally RIGHT next to the hotel, so it’s definitely worth a walk through if you’re staying at The Mayton!

Brunch at Academy Street Bistro or Peck & Plume (Downtown Cary, opens at 10:00am)

Brews & Bites at Bond Brothers Beer Company (Downtown Cary, opens at 12:00pm)

Grab a Beer at The Cotton House or Pharmacy Bottle + Beverage (Downtown Cary)

Golf Simulator & Lunch at The Albatross Golf Pub (Downtown Cary, opens at 11:00am)

Throw some axes, play some games at “Graffiti: Spirits, Axes & Art” (Downtown Cary, opens at 12:00pm)

Family Fun at Pullen Park (Near NCSU in Raleigh, opens at 10:00am)
If you’re up for a little family adventure, Pullen Park is really cool! With paddle boats, a carousel, and plenty of scenic spots, it’s a fun way to spend your morning before the festivities. It’s a short drive from downtown Cary, but still super close!

Transportation to The Wedding

Meeting Place: The Mayton Inn (Lobby), 301 S Academy St, Cary, NC 27511

Meeting Time: 3:00pm (The busses leave at 3:15pm SHARP, and they will not wait for you!)

Join us in the lobby of The Mayton for free transportation to Donovan Manor! All are welcome—even if you’re not staying at The Mayton! If you’re nearby, you can park in the Downtown Cary parking deck and take a quick 3-minute walk across the park to the hotel. There will be additional transportation back to the Mayton from the Reception (busses leave at 8:30pm, 9:30pm, and when the Reception ends at 10:30pm).

You’re welcome to drive yourself, but if you’re planning to enjoy a drink (or two), we strongly advise against it. The last thing we want on our wedding day is for anyone to get into an accident when it could have been avoided. Stay safe and ride with us!

The Wedding Ceremony

When: Saturday, April 26th, 2025 | 4:00pm

Where: The Rose Garden at Donovan Manor, 5733 Hilltop Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526

Formal Attire: Feel free to dress up! Think “polished” but not quite black-tie. Floor-length gowns, chic midi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are all beautiful choices for feminine looks. Darker-colored suits are preferred (ties and bowties optional), but anything from a full tux to dress pants & a blazer are also perfectly fine!

And don’t be afraid to add some seasonal “spring” flair! Florals, spring colors, and flowing fabrics are all welcome—just no white, of course! The bridesmaids will be wearing sage green, so feel free to complement or contrast as you like.

Cocktail Party (our “Fancy Wedding Tailgate”)

When: Saturday, April 26th, 2025 | 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Where: The Courtyard Terrace & House at Donovan Manor

Not Your Average Cocktail Hour! Open Bar, Great Music, Our Favorite Games, Tons of Filling Appetizers, and Lots of Places to Sit, Chat, and Catch Up with Friends & Family!

Dinner & Wedding Reception

When: Saturday, April 26th, 2025 | 6:30pm – 10:30pm

Where: Grand Ballroom at Donovan Manor

Our main buffet options tentatively include: Salad, Bistro Fillet (GF), Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon (CF), Truffle Whipped Potatoes (V)(GF), and Sauteed Green Beans (V)(GF). If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions and would not be able to have a sufficient meal based on the options, please let us know and we will work to get you a different option!

Transportation From the Wedding Venue

Busses will be departing at 3 different times to accommodate those wanting to get back to kids, the not-so-late-nighters, or those who just want to get home a little early.

8:30 PM | The Family Bus

9:30 PM | The Early Bus

10:30 PM | The Last-Call Bus

Please meet the bus driver outside of the ceremony space at least 10 minutes before departure.

All busses will be returning to The Mayton Hotel.

There will also be a Party Bus making trips between the Mayton Hotel & Woody’s for transportation to/from the afterparty.

The Afterparty

When: Saturday, April 26th, 2025 | 11:00pm – 2:00am

Where: Woody’s Sports Tavern & Grill, 8322 Chapel Hill Rd, Cary, NC 27513

Cash bar, quarters pool table, darts, foosball, great music, and great people! All are welcome!
